  • You want a more consistent morning and evening rhythm

  • You are interested in Maharishi AyurVeda but need help turning knowledge into daily practice

  • You prefer a simple, sustainable approach instead of an overwhelming routine

  • You want a practical resource you can return to as your routine develops

WHAT’S INSIDE THE TOOLKIT

Practical Companion Guide

A practical reference for bringing foundational Maharishi AyurVeda principles into everyday life. Explore daily rhythm, morning and evening routines, foundational self-care practices, movement, and resources you can return to over time.

Tutorial Library

Supporting tutorials for the practices introduced in the guide, including tongue cleaning, Gandusha, Garshana, Abhyanga, Maharishi Yoga Asanas, and Pranayama, with guidance for understanding where each practice fits within a balanced routine.

Routine Builder + Weekly Practice Tracker

Turn what you learn into a routine that fits your actual life. Use the morning and evening rhythm pages and weekly practice tracker to choose a few practices, build gradually, and see what you are consistently applying.

Start Simple. Build Gradually.

You do not need to adopt an elaborate Ayurvedic routine all at once.

The Toolkit is designed to help you understand the practices, choose what is realistic for your current life, and begin with a small number of actions you can actually sustain.

As your routine becomes more familiar, you can return to the Toolkit and gradually add what is appropriate.

Use the Toolkit to:

  • Understand how foundational practices fit into daily rhythm

  • Choose one or two practices as a realistic starting point

  • Create a simple morning and evening routine

  • Track what you are actually practicing each week

  • Return to the guide as your routine develops

  • Recognize when individualized guidance may be more appropriate

THE PRACTICES YOU’LL EXPLORE

Foundational practices for bringing Maharishi AyurVeda into daily life.

Tongue Cleaning

A traditional morning practice used as part of Ayurvedic daily routine and oral care.

Gandusha

The Ayurvedic practice of holding oil in the mouth as part of the morning self-care routine.

Garshana

Traditional dry massage practiced before bathing as part of Ayurvedic body care.

Abhyanga

Ayurvedic self-massage with oil, traditionally used as part of a balanced daily or weekly routine.

Maharishi Yoga Asanas

Gentle Yoga postures practiced within Maharishi’s approach to support balance, prepare the physiology for meditation, and complement the development of consciousness.

Pranayama

Traditional breathing practice used within Maharishi’s system as preparation for meditation and as part of an integrated daily routine.

The Toolkit introduces these practices for educational use and provides supporting tutorials where appropriate. Some practices are best learned through qualified instruction rather than written material alone.

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION

A Foundational Part of Maharishi’s Approach

Maharishi AyurVeda is more than a collection of lifestyle practices. Within Maharishi’s approach, the development of consciousness is fundamental to a complete understanding of life and health.

The Transcendental Meditation® technique provides a systematic means of allowing the mind to settle inward and experience quieter levels of awareness.

TM, Maharishi Yoga Asanas, and Pranayama are important parts of Maharishi’s broader system. This Toolkit introduces their relationship within a balanced daily routine while keeping TM instruction separate.

TM Is Learned Separately

TM instruction is not included in the Ayurvedic Self-Care Toolkit.

This Toolkit does not teach the Transcendental Meditation technique, discuss mantras or mantra selection, reconstruct personal instruction, or replace learning from a certified TM teacher.

If you have not learned TM and would like to understand what it is and how instruction works, you can begin with the introductory presentation.
